PET
SITTING SERVICES
Establishing
Service: In
order to provide customized care for your pets, an introductory
meeting
is required
of all new clients. This meeting is a free
consultation, to take place at the clients’ residence. It
is a chance for both the client and their pet to meet me, on the
pet’s “turf.” All contracts and paperwork will
be reviewed and completed. Also, two copies of a key, both which have been tested, will be needed. The key
will be numerically coded and kept in a lock box in the Tickle
My Paws office and taken out only when needed. The pet’s
routine will be discussed, including diet, restrictions (if any),
and location of leashes, toys, food, bowls, etc.
Service
Area: Tickle My Paws currently services clients in
the Carlisle, Boiling Springs and Newville areas of
central Pennsylvania. Clients within a 10 mile radius of my home
will not be charged a fuel-surcharge. Should you be outside
of the 10 mile radius, an additional charge of $1.00 per mile
will be charged for each visit. This charge will only be charged
for the mileage ONE-WAY to your home, NOT roundtrip. It actually
equals $0.50 per mile roundtrip for any miles exceeding the
20 miles roundtrip. This charge is in line with the 2007 Federal
Mileage Rate of $0.485 per mile. When calculating the distance,
use MapQuest and the intersection of Mooredale and Ritner Highway,
Carlisle, PA, 17015, as my address.
Tickle
My Paws will provide:
- Walk, exercise
and play with your pet
- Provide
fresh food and water
- Give medications
and dietary supplements
- Provide
litter box, cage, and accident cleaning
- Bring in
the mail and newspapers
- Adjust lights
and drapes
- Take out
the trash
- Water indoor
plants
- Arrange
for medical care, if necessary
- A daily
log of your pet’s
activities
- Lots of
TLC!
Reservations: To
reserve the dates and times for pet care, it is suggested you
book
the time at least two weeks in advance. Tickle My Paws
is noted for flexibility, and we understand that last minute trips
are sometimes unavoidable, but there are times when not everyone
can be accommodated, especially during the holidays. Please take
this into consideration and book early.
Confirmation: Please remember that I always call to confirm reservations the
day before
your
departure (with the exception of daily clients).
If you do not receive a call from me by 9 PM the day before you
are to depart, please call me as we may have misunderstood the
reservations.
Please
Note: For your pet’s
well being, I will continue to come to your home until you call
and leave me a message on my cell phone letting
me know that you have returned. So please remember to call
as soon as you get home to prevent being charged for additional visits.
If you find that your trip will be extended, please notify me as
soon as possible. Remember to take my business card with you on
your trip so that you will be able to contact me should the need
arise.
Animals give
us unconditional love, companionship and security, turning our
houses into homes. Our job is to keep your pets safe
and happy and your home secure while you’re away. We understand
how difficult separation can be for both pets and people and
feel your peace of mind and your pet’s well being are our
responsibility. It is important that our clients are comfortable
with us, but ultimately your pets will decide how good our service
is. Animals have a way of simplifying things; they will pick
who they trust based on what we do and who we are, not what we
say.
